"We heard loud noise. By the time we arrived, the roof had collapsed," a neighbour recalled after a retaining wall collapsed onto rented houses in Mangaluru's Naguri area during heavy rain. The incident killed three people, including two young sisters, while three others were rescued by NDRF and Fire and Emergency Services personnel before being shifted to hospital for treatment.
