A massive fire, which tore through Bongao in the Tawi-Tawi province in southern Philippines on February 3, destroyed over 1,000 houses. Local officials estimate that the flames forced approximately 5,000 people to flee for their safety. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than four hours before finally bringing it under control.
