1,600 tonnes of Lithium deposits found in Karnataka

Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Earth Sciences, announced the discovery of 1,600 tonnes of lithium in Karnataka's Mandya and Yadgiri districts. The Atomic Minerals Directorate located these deposits in the Marlagalla area. Singh said efforts are ongoing to explore lithium across India, noting its global importance. Lithium, a highly reactive metal, is crucial for modern technologies.
