1 dead, 102 rescued after Indonesian ferry with 243 onboard goes missing

At least one person has died and 102 others have been rescued from an Indonesian passenger ferry that went missing in the Java Sea on Sunday after losing contact. The vessel, carrying 243 people, had departed Surabaya on Saturday for Banjarmasin when contact was lost amid bad weather. The whereabouts of the remaining passengers were not immediately clear.
