1 in 10 Kerala police personnel have suicidal thoughts: Study

Nearly one in 10 police personnel surveyed in Keralam reported suicidal thoughts in the past year, while about one in 25 reported suicidal behaviour, a study has found. Based on a survey of 400 personnel in Malappuram and Ernakulam, the findings point to the strain of long working hours, frontline duties, workplace harassment, and limited access to psychological support.
