A five-judge Constitution bench on Thursday responded to President Droupadi Murmu's 14 questions. The questions sought the Supreme Court's opinion regarding the timeline of granting assent to bills. CJI BR Gavai stated that one judge contributed substantially to framing the answers to the questions; however, the judge "sacrificed", as the clarification was given "in the name of the court".
