10,000-yr-old giant panda fossil found in limestone cave in China

A 10,000-year-old giant panda fossil has been discovered in a limestone cave in Shaanxi Province, China. The remarkably well-preserved fossil includes over 90% of the skull and 70% of the skeleton, a rare find according to researchers. The fossil was found 180 metres deep in a cave in Chenggu County, Hanzhong City, resting on a limestone platform.
