100 lawyers detained near SC amid CJP protest, CJI intervenes

Around 100 Supreme Court and Delhi court lawyers were detained near the Supreme Court by Delhi Police on Saturday amid CJP protest. The lawyers were marching from Supreme Court to Jantar Mantar. Advocate Sumita Hazarika said, "Few lady lawyers were manhandled by nameless constables." The lawyers were released hours later following the intervention of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
