Every June 16, World Sea Turtle Day honors these ancient ocean travelers and Dr. Archie Carr, pioneer of sea turtle conservation. All seven species now face threats from plastic, fishing nets and habitat loss. Yet hope remains—through protecting nesting beaches, reducing plastic use and raising awareness, we can help ensure sea turtles continue their incredible journey for generations to come.
