A pair of 10-month-old conjoined twins joined at the abdomen and chest were successfully separated after an operation that lasted approximately 10 hours in US’ Philadelphia. The girls were born connected at the abdomen and chest area, making them share a liver, diaphragm, and abdominal wall. The twins were diagnosed prenatally during their mother's 20-week ultrasound.
