The death of 11 lions in Gujarat's Gir forest was a result of infighting between two groups over "territorial supremacy", state forest force chief GK Sinha said. While some died due to injuries sustained during the fighting, few starved to death after they went into hiding to save themselves, reports said. "No foul play is suspected," officials said.
