A response to an RTI query aimed at the Department of Atomic Energy has stated that 11 nuclear scientists died under mysterious circumstances between the years 2009-13. While numerous allegedly committed suicide, one passed away as the result of a blast and two others as the result of a mysterious fire. One was murdered, with his alleged killer absconding.
