The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence arrested 12 persons on Saturday in Kolkata for allegedly smuggling around 58 kg of gold worth ₹18 crore into the country from Myanmar. The gold was smuggled via Moreh border in Manipur, officials said. A woman was also among the 12 arrested, and all those held had either Mizo or Manipuri origins.
