The New Zealand government has ordered 1.2 million square centimetres of skin from the US to treat patients suffering burns due to the volcano eruption on White Island. Among the 30 injured, 27 people have burns to 30% or more of their body. As many as 22 people are on airway support due to burns affecting their lungs.
