A record 1,201 couples renewed their wedding vows at a ceremony in Michigan, United States, in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record. The participating couples belonged to United States, Canada and Japan. While an official approval from Guinness is pending, the currently recognised record for the same was achieved by 1,087 couples in June 2009.
