A 13-year-old girl from a village near Mumbai had a drooping eyelid condition, which was successfully treated by a paediatric surgery at RJ Sankara Eye Hospital in Panvel. The girl's parents delayed surgery for years, fearing she was too young for a cosmetic procedure. According to Dr Ashwini Raut, trauma-induced cases are rarer, but "ptosis correction often has a profound emotional impact".
