A zoo in the US celebrated the first Father’s Day of Goliath, a 135-year-old Galapagos tortoise who became a father for the first time. An egg hatched on June 4, making both Goliath and the mother, Sweet Pea (aged 85–100), first-time parents. The zoo has applied to Guinness Book of World Records to recognise Goliath as the oldest first-time father.
