Indian-origin boy Shrey Parikh won the US' Scripps National Spelling Bee after defeating fellow finalist Ishaan Gupta in a tiebreaker round and received $52,500 (₹50 lakh) prize money. In the 90-second "spell-off", Shrey got 32 words right to win the competition while Ishaan spelt 25 words correctly. Indian-American spellers have claimed 31 of the last 37 championship titles, reports said.
