Fifteen captive-bred pygmy hogs, the world's smallest and rarest wild pig, were reintroduced into the Kuribeel grasslands of Manas National Park on Sunday under the Pygmy Hog Conservation Programme. The release included nine females and six males. It was the sixth such release in Manas since 2020, taking the total number of pygmy hogs reintroduced into the park to 78.
