160 mn-yr-old half snake, half lizard fossil found on Isle of Skye

A fossil of a reptile species was discovered on Scotland's Isle of Skye, which had snake-like jaws with curved teeth and lizard-like limbs. The nearly complete fossil, dating back 160-167 million years, offers key insights into reptile evolution. Known as Breugnathair elgolensis, which is Gaelic for 'false snake of Elgol', it is one of the complete specimens of Jurassic lizard.
