At least 164 people have been killed and over 971 injured after two back-to-back earthquakes hit Venezuela within 39 seconds, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez said on Thursday. The quakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude were among the strongest to strike Venezuela in more than a century. The devastating earthquake caused several buildings to collapse and split roads apart.
