17 protesters involved in anti-SIR protests get bail, court says 'not habitual offenders'

As many as 17 students, who were arrested during a protest against SIR and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi, were granted bail late last night. According to the court, the allegations against them were "serious", but they were not "habitual offenders". It stated that the career prospects might get hampered if the students are sent to judicial custody.
