A 17-year-old Chinese girl, Zhang Jiayuan (Rhea), became second Chinese student to perform 'Arangetram', solo debut of Bharatanatyam, in Beijing. She trained under Jin Shan Shan's school, who learned dance in India. Rhea started learning at age five and later joined dance school when she was 12. She practised for five hours daily for five years to prepare for performance.
