Archaeologists from the Museum of London Archaeology have re-discovered a commercial ice house from the 18th century under a street in London's Regent’s Park area. The egg-shaped ice house, dating from the 1780s, is believed to have stored ice sourced naturally from Norwegian fjord. The structure has been designated as a 'Scheduled Monument' by the governmental body Historic England.
