1962 Sino-Indian war began on this day

The 1962 war between India and China began on October 20 at Aksai Chin and North-East Frontier Agency regions in Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh respectively. The cause of the war was a dispute over the border regions. The war lasted till November 21, 1962, causing deaths of 1,383 Indian soldiers and 722 Chinese troops.
