On comparisons between PM Narendra Modi's handling of conflict with Pakistan and ex-PM Indira Gandhi's handling of 1971 war, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said, "The circumstances were different." He added, "Today's Pakistan is a different situation. Their equipment...the damage they can do, everything is different." Congress also showcased Indira Gandhi's leadership to take a dig at PM Modi.
