India eliminated Rauf Azhar, the mastermind of 1999 Indian Airlines flight IC814 hijacking, reports said. Rauf was killed in one of the strikes that India carried out as part of Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and PoK. Rauf, the brother of JeM chief Masood Azhar, was also involved in kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.
