Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the launch event of 5G technology services in the country, said that 1GB data cost about ₹300 earlier. It has come down to about ₹10 per GB now, he stated. "On average, a person in India consumes 14GB (data) per month. This would have cost about ₹4,200 per month but costs ₹125-150," PM Modi added.
