Alia CX300 has become world's first electric plane to successfully carry passengers over 130km in US. The plane, built by Beta Technologies, completed the journey in 35 minutes and cost just $8 (about ₹700). In comparison, the fuel used by a helicopter completing the same journey would've cost $160 (nearly ₹14,000). The ₹700 cost doesn't include pilot and airplane fees.
