The Nazis created the V-2 rocket, which became the first man-made object to go to space after a successful test launch, 74 years ago on October 3, 1942. The rocket, created to be used in strikes during WWII, travelled 190 kilometres during the test launch. Notably, due to Nazi atrocities, more people died manufacturing it than were killed by it.
