China launched the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S), nicknamed Kuafu-1, its first solar observatory on October 9. Kuafu-1 aims to unravel the mysteries of the Sun's eruptions. It will provide insights into how the Sun's magnetic field causes coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and other eruptions. It will also conduct simultaneous observations of both solar flares and CMEs.
