A copy of the first Superman issue from 1939 has been auctioned for a record $9.12 million (about ₹81 crore), making it the most expensive comic book ever sold, as per the US-based auction house. The comic book was found by three brothers while they were cleaning their mother's attic following her death. It was published by Detective Comics.
