Around 2% of Indian startups are currently focused on curating AI training data, the Economic Survey said, citing a World Bank report. In comparison, 40% of startups in US work in this segment, followed by 21% in EU and 9% in UK. "India holds considerable potential advantage in terms of domestic data sources, but this asset remains underutilised," it stated.
