2,000 killed in Iran protests

Around 2,000 people have been killed in anti-government protests in Iran, an Iranian official told Reuters, blaming "terrorists" for the deaths of civilians and security personnel. Earlier, pro-government rallies aimed at downplaying the anti-government protests were organised in the country. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian joined a rally and promised that government is "ready to listen".
