About 2,500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have been deployed across West Bengal as the second phase of voting for the state Assembly elections is underway. Kolkata has the highest deployment at 274 companies, followed by Purba Bardhaman (263) and Hooghly (236). Each company reportedly has 80-120 personnel, taking the total strength to around 1.9 to 2.8 lakh.
