The Ministry of Ports said the Directorate General of Shipping safely repatriated more than 2,590 Indian seafarers from the Gulf region amid the US-Iran war. It added that 27 seafarers were repatriated in the last 24 hours. The ministry further said that since the war began, 9 LPG vessels and 1 crude oil vessel safely transited the Strait of Hormuz.
