2.7 lakh voters listed as aged 100+ in Maha draft roll, ECI took a month to fix it: Report

At least 2,70,313 voters were listed as aged 101-150 in Maharashtra's SIR draft electoral roll published on August 31, with many of them recorded as 126-year-olds born in 1900, Indian Express reported. Maharashtra CEO S Chockalingam flagged the issue to ECI on September 2, which reportedly fixed it only on October 6. Officials attributed the error to a technical glitch.
