At least two people were arrested while they were trying to sell ambergris (whale vomit) worth ₹1.7 crore in Mumbai, police said. Notably, ambergris is a waxy substance that originates as a secretion in the intestines of the sperm whale, found floating in tropical seas and used in perfume manufacture. Ambergris (whale vomit) is a prohibited item, the police added.
