Two Russian men sailed to US' Alaska in a small boat to avoid being drafted to fight in Ukraine, US authorities said. The men, who'd made the 300-mile journey from Egvekinot to St Lawrence Island in Alaska, have been detained and are seeking asylum in the US, they added. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial military mobilisation last month.
