2 ships carrying 4 million barrels of oil from Saudi bombed in Strait of Hormuz
Two supertankers carrying oil from Saudi Arabia were bombed within minutes of each other while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The supertankers each loaded 2 million barrels of Saudi crude at the Juaymah terminal last week. Efforts to reopen the strait, which carried about a fifth of global oil supplies before the Middle East war, have so far proven inconclusive.
