2 vaccine doses to be given 28 days apart, effect starts 14 days after 2nd dose: Govt

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Tuesday said that there will be a gap of 28 days between two doses of Covaxin or Covishield coronavirus vaccines. "The inoculation effect takes 14 days to develop after the administration of the two dosages. Hence it is imperative to maintain COVID-appropriate behaviour," he added.
