Two women have been sentenced to caning in Malaysia after they admitted to engaging in lesbian sex in violation of Sharia laws, officials said. They were sentenced to six strokes of the cane each and fined over ₹56,400. "Adequate punishment must be meted out so that this becomes a lesson and reminder," the judge reportedly said while sentencing the women.
