A two-year-old Pomeranian named Haku, once given up by his owner, has been recruited as a police dog in Japan. Originally born at a pet shop, Haku passed the police dog exam on his first attempt, competing against 51 dogs in disciplines including tracking and area search. "It's very rare...for a dog to pass...on the first try," his trainer said.
