Savendra, 20, and his friends removed 800 kg of waste from a 22-acre polluted pond in their village. They cleaned the pond, filled with garbage, with no equipment and received no funding for the work of cleaning the pond. Savendra and his friends found broken glass, poisonous insects and even crocodiles while cleaning the pond.
