200 under observation in Russia as lab worker dies of suspected plague

Nearly 200 people have been placed under medical observation in Russia's Siberia region after a laboratory worker reportedly died of suspected plague. The worker, identified as Darya Shipilova, was in her late 20s and worked at an anti-plague institute in Irkutsk. She was hospitalised in Shelekhov after developing severe symptoms and was placed on ventilator before her death on Thursday.
