PM Narendra Modi on Monday participated in a ceremony to name 21 largest islands of Andaman and Nicobar islands. The islands were named after various Param Vir Chakra awardees, including Major Somnath Sharma, Captain Vikram Batra, Major Hoshiar Singh etc. The largest unnamed island among them was named after Major Somnath, who was the first Param Vir Chakra awardee.
