In Chhattisgarh's Bastar, 21 Maoists, including 13 women, surrendered in Kanker district, handing over 18 weapons including AK-47s. Led by Division Secretary Mukesh, the cadres from the Kuemari–Kiskodo area gave up arms under the 'Poona Margham' peace programme. Centre and the state government have jointly set March 31, 2026, as the target to completely eradicate Naxalism from Chhattisgarh.
