Mumbai's 21-year-old middle-order batter Suved Parkar recorded the fifth-highest score on debut in first-class cricket history. Parkar scored 252(447) in the first innings of his team's Ranji Trophy quarter-final against Uttarakhand. Bihar's Sakibul Gani holds the record for the highest score on first-class debut with 341, followed by Ajay Rohera (267*), Amol Muzumdar (260) and Bahir Shah (256*).
