22 lakh of 27 lakh deleted Bengal voters have filed appeals: EC

The Election Commission informed the Supreme Court that out of the total 27 lakh excluded voters, 22 lakh had appealed the deletions after the special intensive revision exercise. The EC further said that tribunals had received a total of 38.2 lakh appeals, with 16 lakh of them challenging inclusions. Only 3.1% of appeals have been decided upon, the EC added.
