25 people hospitalised after ammonia gas leaks from factory in WB

At least 25 people were hospitalised in West Bengal after ammonia gas leaked from an ice factory in North 24 Parganas district, police said on Monday. The gas leak took place in Basirhat on Sunday night and spread to adjoining areas. Angry residents reportedly blocked the Berachampa-Haroa road to protest against the incident and withdrew after discussions with district officials.
